About Us

As a family we have owned and run our own portfolio of student properties in Exeter for over 25 years. Over that period we have gained a huge amount of experience in how to manage the properties and in making sure they evolve and are modernised to meet ever changing student demand.

We aim to provide accommodation which is clean, safe, well maintained and well equipped. Put simply we have always worked on the basis of keeping the houses up to a standard that we would be happy for our own children (who were students not so long ago!) to rent. We deal with any issues that might arise promptly and with minimal fuss, and have built up a network of long standing trusted tradespeople such as electricians, plumbers and decorators who we can call on should the need arise.

We deal with all the paperwork ourselves using industry standard tenancy agreements provided by the National Residential Landlords Association (NRLA) of which we are members. We treat all our students fairly, return deposits promptly, and seek to reach agreement on any issues which may arise. All we ask in return is that you pay the rent promptly and take reasonable care of the house.

Whilst we take a personal interest in the running and maintenance of our properties we won't suddenly turn up unannounced (unless there's an emergency) and we set up a WhatsApp group for each property for ease of communication about anything that may arise. We hand over each house personally and make sure you are aware of where everything is, from the stopcock to the smoke/heat detectors and the location of the meters.

Each property also has its own House Manual with all relevant safety certificates, user manuals and helpful tips on moving in and moving out, and minimising the risk of condensation. We recognise that living in a shared house with friends is an important part of the University experience and will do all that we can to ensure you have a happy time in our properties!
